An 11-18 PGCE programme is offered in five subjects: English, History, ICT, Maths and Science. The training schools are all 11-18 mixed comprehensives and are therefore able to offer training in A level teaching as well as Key Stages 3 and 4.
The NEECC SCITT and GTP is also a centre for the Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP). This training programme is offered across all subject areas and leads to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
