Tendring Technology College
A Specialist Technology College

Tendring Technology College serves the whole rural community between Harwich and Clacton. The unique twin-site nature ensures that each half of the College feels "family sized”. As a Technology College, it prepares young people for the challenges of this new century in the workplace, in the family, and in the community.


Clacton Coastal Academy
Special Media Arts College

Clacton Coastal Academy serves the West Clacton on sea area. It prepares young people for the demands of a rapidly changing world by creating a climate of success and hard work where achievement is recognised and rewarded; In it’s previous incarnation as Colbayns, the school worked with Edison and began a partnership in September 2003, aimed at boosting the school's efforts to bring about sustained improvement in achievement, ethos and the all-round quality of its provision for the students.

In consultation with Edison, Colbayns introduced innovative methods and techniques. From September 2009, the school has been merged with Bishops Park College to form the 2 sites of the Clacton Coastal Academy where this innovative teaching still continues.


The Colne Community School
A Specialist School in Sports

The Colne Community School is a forward looking and forward thinking School. It is situated in a rural setting in Brightlingsea, and draws its catchment from the local community, as well as attracting students from the areas of Colchester and Clacton.


Harwich and Dovercourt High School
A Specialist Humanities College

The school, a mixed comprehensive with 1,150 pupils, succeeded in its bid to become a designated Language College in 2000.Refurbishment and purchasing of new equipment took place and an old school block was transformed into a series of modern, state-of-the art language laboratories.
